This assessment is a good tool for showing student growth from pre-test to post-test. I give the pre-test at the beginning of fourth grade to see what color schemes they already know. Then with each project, I incorporate a specific color scheme for the students to apply in their artwork. By applying color schemes in different activities and projects, students become more familiar and may answer more questions correctly on the post-test to demonstrate growth.
