This 19-page unit plan features 4 activities inspired by contemporary artist, Kehinde Wiley. Each activity builds to help students create a digital self-portrait, combining photography with their own original drawings and using green screen technology! The project is labeled with a National Core Arts standard. I wrote this unit for fifth grade, but these could easily be adapted for younger or older students. The unit plan includes information about the artist, handouts, questions, and images of the artist's work. I also included images of Old Masters/Baroque paintings the artist referenced for a fun matching game with your students!
